These questions are pressing enough. Yet reflection on Marino’s insights around honesty and communication generates further questions not only about consent but also about privacy. For example, as she rightly notes, some people can be made to feel uncomfortable if their partner shares too much information as the colloquial term “oversharing” denotes:

CQ5: If there are boundaries around information sharing or disclosure in the relationship, is it plausible that consent can still be garnered? What if one relata desires for there to be a larger degree of information sharing than the other relata is comfortable with?

CQ6: If a person consents to be in a relationship with another person who is already partnered with someone(s) with robust information sharing policies, in consenting to the relationship is the person consenting to have their information shared with their metamour(s)? What exactly is being consented to when one is consenting to a polyamorous relationship?

CQ7: Is it enough that consent is given one time? Or must it be continuously given on an ongoing basis?
